I have a 4 and a half month Bichon! Her name is Maci. She is kind of fat, in a cute way! Maci is almost housebroken!!! (except when we forget to take her out!) I love seeing the pictures of the other Bichons! Thanks for the photos!

We have a male bichon frise. We are not sure how old he is because we rescued him from an animal shelter. He is wonderful, and I don't know how I lived before we got him.

Have always preferred larger dogs [Aussies], but health limitations now dictate a smaller, more manageable breed. Had had bichons in the back of my mind since reading about them 6yrs ago, and even more since dogsitting with one a few times.
Have found this site, and others linked to it, most helpful. Am hoping to locate breeders in the NoCA area, particularly around Sacramento. TIA.

I have been doing research on Bichons because a friend of mine told me that they are almost completely non-allergenic. You see, I am terribly allergic to dogs and my husband is a serious dog lover. I immediately began reading up on the Bichons to learn as much as I could and instantly fell in love. The stories owners have written are great and the pictures are adorable. I think I have found most of the information I needed on care, etc. but I still have not found anything about the allergies. If anyone has any information about Bichons and allergies, please e-mail me. I really appreciate all the wonderful pictures and information I have found on these web pages! Laura

My "best little friend", a cockerpoo, died in Sept. I am looking for a new friend/baby/buddy/playmate. I cannot decide between a Bichon Frise or a Poodle, and I have no idea how to make a choice. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

This is a wonderful site. I have a four year old bichon, Miss Mattie, and she is the light of my life. She has personality plus and pratically talks to me. She is a great traveler and companion. I do have trouble finding a groomer, especially someone who know how a bichon is suppose to look. I have been grooming her myself for a year now, but still would like to have someone do it professionally.

Our dog is a joy around the house. My 7 yr old son plays with this dog day in and day out. The Bichon is a great companion with all the patience in the world. I groom him myself because nobody can do it the way I like it. The only problem with PUFFY is that he is sick when we travel by car. Great dog.

At least in my house. Our female Nicky turned 3 on hristmas day (named after St. Nick) She rules the house and we love every minute of it. We got Nicky after losing our poodle of 13 years. I had "met one" that was an "employee" at a Florida nursing home. He was so gentle and good with the residents that I decided Bichon's were for us. Nicky had problems with motion sickness when she was a puppy but has grown out of it. We used to take her for very short rides - around the block - and extended them as she got accustomed to it. Now she is a great travel companion. Try it!

We have a 4 month old bichon also named Penny (Little Penny Heartaway) as her name suggest she took our hearts away when we saw her at the breeder. She is starting formal training next week. We love her and laugh at our clown all the time.

Our family decided on a bichon when our son was having allergy and asthma problems. Our allergist rec. We finally found one and have had "OMAR" for about 8 mo. What a personality!!!! The kids are completely satisfied with a small pet. He is actually non allergenic!! We are having a ball with him he has definitely become one of the family.

Hi, We have a Bischon who is 2 yrs old. He is really the best thing that happened to us. Without him, our days are dull and blue. He puts the sunshine in our lives everyday. I found my puppy in an animal shelter in Neenah. She is the highlight of my life. I don't understand how the people that owned her before me could have gotten rid of her. I have recently gone off to college and when I come home for the weekends she is so excited to see me. I love taking her bye-bye with me because she is so good with people. I definetly couldn't complain about her other than I wish she would have been housebroken a little easier.

My Bichon is called Valetta - or Letta for short. We call her 'the most' because when we say who wants their dinner the most (my other dog is a Cairn Terrier) she goes mad - I'm sure you all know what I mean!!! We love our little Letta, and would be lost without her!

Bronson and Bianca Boyle met the Pres Mr and Mrs Clinton on Port Douglas beach in Nov. '96.
A photo of Bronson with his Mum and Dad laughing with the Clintons was published all around the world. Poor Bianca was out of shot as she's alittle shy.
