We adopted a 2yr. old Bichon from the SPCA with no knowledge of the breed. What a wonderful surprise! Like so many others we were big dog fans, but with an allergic family and not hours to spend romping everyday, our Annie was the perfect match. Now we are ready to expand our family to 4 (we only have the 1 Bichon presently). Who knows of a breeder in Texas? Our Bichon is not show quality and we don't care about that. Just another treasure would be wonderful. Please e-mail if you have information.

I HAVE 2 DALMATIONS ALREADY AND THOUGHT A BISCHON WOULD GO PERFECT WITH THEM. I WAS RIGHT THEY ALL GOT ALONG AT FIRST SIGHT. MY FEMALE DALMATION THINKS ITS HER PUPPY BY THE WAY SHE TREATS HER. WE USED TO BREED OUR DALMATIONS WHEN THEY WERE YOUNGER. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL LIVE LONG HAPPY LIVES TOGETHER....

Our dog, Spencer, is our pride and joy. He is the happiest, the most loyal, most precious dog in the world. If my husband and I each call Spencer at the same time, he runs back and forth, unable to make a decision as to who he should go to first. He loves us each with his whole heart. His personality is the best! He goes everywhere with us, we take him on the boat, on all vacations, we have never had a problem traveling with him. His "brother", our Somali cat, Samson, is his best animal friend. Samson thinks he is a dog, and they do everything together, mostly they play with eachother, tackling and licking eachother, and they sleep on the bed together. Bichon Frise dogs have the capacity to love like I have not seen in other dogs. Our whole family can't say enough good about our wonderful dog! Thanks for a great site!

We are the proud owners of a two year old Bichon Frise named DAISY. She is our pride and joy! Our daughter went off to college two years ago and we were experiencing the empty nest syndrome. Voila... DAISY. She is the best thing to happen to our house- hold since our daughter was born. We only wish now we had had DAISY when our daughter was growing up as they are such a great family dog. DAISY does everything with us and is truly a part of our lives. At night when we say to DAISY "are you ready for bed" she goes right in and snuggles under our second pillow. This has not changed in the two years she has been with us. Bichons are just sooooooo lovable. She loves to be held like a baby and have her belly scratched, she's not spoiled is she? We will continue to spoil her as she gives us so much joy. When we have met other Bichon owners they feel the same way and it has been so much fun to share our stories. We all feel like family! We are so happy to have found this site! Many happy stories!

Loved your site. I have had dogs and cats all my life, but never loved any as much as I love Rennie. Rennie is now a year old. He is so smart, I think he understands English! I say, "Get your ball", he gets his ball. I say, "Get your pull toy", he gets his pull toy. Isay, "Where's Jo Jo (our cat), he goes looking for the cat. Unbelievable. Our Bichon, Baxter, was the light of our lives. He was energetic, loving, and had a personality all his own. Bax slept at the foot of my parents bed every night. He became such a great part of our family that he began to visited by friends, neighbors, and other family members. My family also has a Dalmation and a Lab that live in a fenced in area in our back yard. Bax played with them often, thinking of himself as a big dog. Hew even had a little poodpe friend in our neighborhood. He would play with this poodle every morning while I would get ready for school. One morning I yelled for him to come in, that it was time for me to leave. He didn't come. My dad searched the neighborhood, finding him on our neighbors porch. He had been shot by a pellet gun. My Baxter died on the way to the vet. Our neighbor said that he had caught Bax on his porch, so he shot him. Baxter, less than two years old, dead. Bichons are great dogs, the best. If anyone out there ever has the opportunity to own one, do it. If you have one, value these precious creatures while you can.

My wife, daughter, and I have been looking for the right pet for about a year now. (My daughter is only four so we don't want to rush and risk getting the wrong pet. We first considered a rabbit, and then a cat, but have now settled on what we always really wanted, a dog. We'll continue to use the web page to learn as much as we can, to determine if a Bichon Frise is the righ addition to our family. The breed was highly recommended by our local pet supply store. We would especially like to know more about how the breed reacts to being left alone (we work and go to school.) Also, we need to know more about how we can find a good pet pup in our area -- at as low a cost as possible. All such info would be appreciated.

WE HAVE A 10 MONTH OLD BICHON WHO HAS TAKEN OVER OUR HOME AND HEARTS. HIS NAME IS HOOTER AND HE'S A REAL CHARMER. HE LOVES BOATING, SWIMMING, TRAVELING, AND MOST OF ALL PLAYING. THESE LITTLE GUYS ARE NON STOP ACTION. THE EXPRESSION THAT A BICHON IS A "PERSON WRAPPED UP IN A BICHON SUIT" IS VERY APPROPRIATE.
