Topic: FLUFFY GIRL SEEKS BOY

We have a 2-year-old female named SNUGGY that we would like to breed in the next year. She is 13 pounds, totally white with a precius face, has a great personality (not too yippity) and is very healthy. We are looking for a small male (preferably under 13 pounds) to breed with her. He must be from a nice family!! If you know of any nice Bichon males who fit the criteria in the Houston area, please let us know. Thanks!!

i trained my bichon to go on a piece of linolium floor we place by the water tank. When she was a pup we lined the bottom of her pen with it.So as she grew up it was surprising when she jumped back into the pen to do her buisness!!!!! Now the pen is gone, the walls that is but she even wants to come in from outside to go!IMAGINE,she has her own ensuite downstairs, the run of the house all day{all work} and she wont go out in the rain or cold.BRITANY IS HER NAME,FROM MINNISOTA SHE CAME,SPOILED MY WIFE SAID,AND SHE SLEEPS IN OUR BED!!!

Topic: Live Stuffed Toy

We've had our Bichon, Cody, now for about 3 years and he is great. He weighs 33 pounds!!! Because we had to put him on steroids for his algeries. We have tried different foods but nothing seems to help. The problem is that he will scratch until he bleeds. If anyone out there can help us, please by all means send us an email. We love him very much and we don't want to seem him suffer with this algery.

Topic: My husband's in love

My husband & I had the pleasure of meeting Janice and her husband today--and of course their beautiful family. Until today my husband was unsure just what/who a Bichon Frise could be. Well...he knows now. And the question seems to be "do we get one new love or two?"

We bought our puppy at eight weeks old and house trained her within two days. We used a carrier for her to sleep in and she started going to the door to go outside and do her business. Chessie has been apleasure and a daddy's girl.

Topic: Do you want a great pet?

We have a 10 month old Bichon named Casper, who is the greatest little pet imaginable! He has been easy to house train, is easy to care for (if you don't mind daily brushing), and has a wonderful disposition. He loves everyone and everything! Although we have only had a couple of other breeds of dog, so comparisons are difficlt, we just love this little guy, and would recommend the breed to anyone who wants a loving little companion.

Topic: Potty training

It took us a while to house train our bichon who was 5 months old when we got him. He was kennel trained, but just couldn't get the point of going out the door with verbal cues and praise. Finally we started taking out dog treats (IAMS lamb and rice biscuits) with us and only rewarded him when he went potty. After a couple of weeks he was trained completely. He is now 9 1/2 months old and a wonderful pet. He is particularly wonderful with children, even large numbers at once.

Topic: The Best Dog Ever

I have a three year old Bichon named Freesia. She is such a great companion, traveling everywhere with me. I am a pilot and have a small one engine plane and she loves to travel with me. I just open the door and she jumps in the back seat into her bed, I put on her seat-belt-harness and she lies down for the entire flight. Any other traveling Bichons.

Topic: Robbie My Love

Robbie, who is 25 lbs. and will be 8 years old on April 4th, was featured in the Marin IJ, Weekend section 1/30/97 as the Bichon being groomed! Although he did not compete in the GGKC show on 2/2/97, he is my champion. I have never had a smarter, more loving companion (he doesn't know he is a dog). He was very easy to housebreak, loves to play with paper and stuffed toys, hates the rain, and sleeps in the bed. He is my champion.

Topic: our baby

we have a 10 month old bichon named Penny, she is the best dog in the world. Sometimes when she looks at us with her head cocked she looks like a little clown. There is no dog that has a happier disposition. I would love to learn to cut her at home. She has terrible separation anxiety when she goes to the groomers and doesn't come out from under the couch for hours, any suggestins?

Topic: My Best Friend!

Help! Sophie, my two-year-old eight pound Bichon is very territorial. She is wonderful to family members, but when it comes to strangers she gets pretty nasty! It is difficult to have guests in the house. Sophie barks and chases, and although she has never bitten anyone, she acts like she would. When she goes to the groomer or vet, she's a little angel. She just acts up when in her territory. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Topic: Slow Motion

We love all of our Bichons; Sammy, Baby, and Moloney! However, Moloney acquired her nick name as we were astonded to see her walking underneath our daughter's bed one evening as if she was in "slow motion." Occasionally when she sleeps with us, she will crawl under the covers and proceed to do the same. It is the oddest thing to witness. Thus her nickname Slow Mo! Thanks for the opportunity to share this bit of joy. Bichons are the BEST!
