I am desparately trying to find a VISA or MasterCard with a picture of a bichon frise on it, or one where you can have your own dog's picture put on it. I remember seeing an advertisement for a card like this some time ago in the newspaper coupon inserts -- I think it was offered by Purina Dogfood. If anyone has any information on this topic I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks.

Hello. I am a owner of two wonderful male bichons. They are LeBeck's Monsieur Neige and Vosco De Gamma. Neige will be 2 in July 1997 andVosco is 8. We got Vosco from the Bichon Rescue Foundation and Neige from a breeder. I love my bichons and wouldnt trade them for anything.

We have a 7 month old Bichon named Nikki. She has been a perfect addition to our family of 3 children, a doberman-mix 12 yr. old dog, and 3 yr. old siamese cat. The kids (age 6 and under) are great with her and she with them. She is so lovable to everyone she meets. We have had some time house-training her but have recently spoken with a trainer who has given us new ideas. Also, when she needs to get bathed often after outside walks!!

We recently lost our Bichon Frise. His name was Sir Bosley; it was a distinguished name which he carried proudly. Unfortunately, he developed a disease called Cushings disease which made life very unpleasant for him. You don't realize how much a dog brings to your life until they're gone. The thing I miss the very most is the greeting I'd get when I walked in the door- I mean does anybody else greet you like that??? The house still feels a little empty and I still get teary-eyed when I think of him, but my memories are only good ones; afterall he was my best friend. Eventually, I'd like to get another Bosley but for now I'm happy to have found this web-site so that I can enjoy watching all of you create your own happy memories.

Our six month old male and female unrelated Bichon Friese are inseparable. They wrestle most of the time. We do not want her to get pregnant until she is at least one year old. Is she able to get pregnant before then? What should we do to prevent this? Stephnie tears a lot and gets dark fur under her eyes. Any help on how to correct this? thanks

Yesterday, May 8, 1997 our beloved Bichon,Snowball, passed away. He was a wonderful dog for my wife, my daughter and myself will miss greatly. He was fourteen years old.
Snowball was such a joy and I would recommend this breed of dog to families with kids that desire a loving, affectionate and caring pet.

Your site has just made up our minds that we actually do have a Bichon. We came across BENNY through a friend who works for a local vet. He was a stray that they were going to have put down (how could anyone let that happen to a Bicon) because he had been there for too long. So we decided to take him in. We were never really sure of what breed he was, at first we thought he might be cross Maltese & Poodle but when we took him to be groomed the lady said she thought he was a Bichon. After looking at the pictures on your site & reading about the characteristics of the breed I have no doubt whatsoever that we have a Bichon. I adore BENNY, he has been a great mate to me over the last 3 years that he has lived with us & has helped me cope with some very dificult times in my life. I wouldn't be without him for anything on Earth.

Lupita is our wonderful, loveable, and completely adored bichon bolonais. She is similiar to the frise, but her hair is softer and her body frame is shorter. We bought Lupita in France at a breeder specializing in the bichon bolonais breed. Are there others on the Net whose best buddies are bichons bolonais?

My Niece is 3.5 years old. She has wanted a dog of her own since she was very small. Scotty, her bichon pup is just as lively and non-stoppable as my niece. They are inseparable... except at night. My niece has been told Scotty has to sleep in the kitchen in his box, not with her. But her Daddy, who loves the pup too, breaks the rule and takes Scotty to bed with him!!!!

I enjoy this web site so much. I have it bookmarked and visit every chance I have. Makes my day! I have a bichon female, Miss Sabilla (after my Mother) of Albemarle (the county where I live). Missy is eight and shares my home with three cats. She has been with me through good and less good, and I would not give her up for any amount of money. (Those of you who are bichon lovers, probably all dog lovers, know how sincere I am in making that statement.
Before Missy came to live with me, I had a pair of bichons, Huffstetler and Anstuf. They, too, were a huge part of my life, and I thought I would never recover when they passed away. However, I DID, although I still think of them, and have many happy memories of our times together, and the wonderful puppies they had. Anstuf, the female, lived to be nearly 17. How they came by their names is another story....
I hope you will continue this web site, and keep us posted on all the wonderful people who share their lives with these very special companions.

We are very happy with Nougat, our beloved three year old Bichon Frisé, a most adorable and playful dog. He loves water and bathing in the family swimming pool. We recommend this breed to anyone who likes playful companion dogs, prone to learn new tricks. Also, it is a very sturdy dog that loves outdoors. Three cheers for the Bichon Frisé!

Hi! Sue from Fairport, New York again! We have found an adorable puppy that we plan to bring home on June 8th. My mom is warning me that we have made a terrible mistake with a male because of leg-lifting in our own home and worse, other people's houses. Please send me some reassurance that this habit can be prevented and TELL ME HOW! PLEASE!! My dog Doogie is a Bichon. I have had him as part of my life for two years. He is a wonderful companion and great fun. Doogie has made a dramatic difference in my life. He is cute, affectionate, and I love being around him especially after a long hard day with humans. Doogie is definitely someone who gives me unconditional love. I highly recommend this breed for families and for singles too. I would love to talk to other owners of bichons.
