OUR FAMILY FINALLY GOT OUR FIRST BICHON. HER NAME IS "BRANDY", SHE IS 7MO OLD,AND A BEUTIFUL BABY. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION WE HAVE MADE IN THE 16 YEARS OF OUT MARRIAGE. As a college student at the University of Virginia I miss my 3 year old Bichon "Maggie" terribly. It was just by chance that I came across this page! Thank you for such a wonderful collection of photographs! Bichons are the best dogs in the world!!

Hi there bichon lovers! I have a bichon named Frida she is 3 1/2 years old. She kept her puppy manners and is cracy about my stuff. She snatches toothpicksboxes, my braw, deodorants pillows from the sofa, everything she could get hold of. When she was a puppy I traded the things for goodies and now she has made this to a sport of hers. She is specially active when I am taking a baath and can´t stop her at all. I won´t call this a major problem because it is quite easy to take the stuff back. She is a real headstrong litle lady and of course she is spoiled because I love her so much. In march I am getting a new puppy and it will be quite interesting to see if she takes after Frida in this. Frida is a real charmer and everybody loves her. She has good lookes and seems to know all about that because she expects everybody to love her, evan cats though they sometimes show

Hi I'm from MN and just read the message from Orion Illinois We have a 3 month old Bichon (Miss Curly Sue) Susie and truly love her. Housebreaking has been iffy but with the help of this site we're making progress. My thought today is WHAT IF they made a movie of 101 Bichon's, then everyone would want one and it would be ruined for all of us!! We should all use our email address especially if we have questions. Warning, our daughter-in-law went to look at "Bichons" with papers and the puppies did not hardly even look like ours. Can this happen? cfriesen@tekstar.com

Neat to see a good Bichon page. I have two Bichons, Dandy and Kimmie, both are show dogs but are wonder- ful pets as well. I am a groomer in the area and specialize in Bichons (and poodles).They come from all over the place, and some days it is pretty "hairy" in my shop in more ways than one! I have developed some techniques for grooming the pet Bichon which simplifies their haircuts but still leaves them fluffy enough to look like real Bichons. Would be glad to share any info.

my husband and I enjoyed visiting your site. our two pups are barney who is seven and a half and his little sister is one year old, her name is brandi, brandi looks up to her big brother for the ok to make her next move!!!! hopefully the baby stays as cute as she is. They love going for walks here on Long Island I groom them both myself with fun baths in the kitchen sink and scissor cut and blow dry them. Barney sleeps through the hair cut and blow dry but need four hands for the little girl Brandi.....Barney has a show dog look and quality however his nose is not solid black. Brandi on the other hand looks like a maltese mix...but she has bichon temperment. WE love them both and the breed is the best !!!!!!

Hi, we are from England and we have a 7 month old Bichon called Bubbling Bubbles. We got her when she was 7 weeks old, she is my baby and I love her to bits! She had two sisters called Poppy and Daisy. She is purebred 100% pedigree! A seventh generation pup! She has just started puppy training classes and has proved to be a right little madam!

we have a 10 month old bichon named Penny, she is the best dog in the world. Sometimes when she looks at us with her head cocked she looks like a little clown. There is no dog that has a happier disposition. I would love to learn to cut her at home. She has terrible separation anxiety when she goes to the groomers and doesn't come out from under the couch for hours, any suggestins?

Ever since Elaine saw a Bichon nearly three years ago (not knowing at all what breed it was) she has wanted one. Just this past Thanksgiving we saw our second Bichon and found out the breed. Our next step is to find a good breeder so we can obtain one or our own. If anyone knows of a good breeder who is also reasonable with their price, let us know. remejm@gte.net

Hi Betsy! I understand how you feel about being away from your bichon "Maggie". When I work I have a dogwatcher named Elisabeth Gerden. She went to visit her parents over the weekend. They live in a litle village in the north of Sweden named Hofors. As I don´t want to leave my bichon Frida alone for 8 hours on friday she accompanied her on the ride. I missed Frida terribly on friday night because she is always there. Therefore I can imagine how you feel being kept apart from your dog for a hole semester at uneversity. I hope your parents could take her with them for a vosit

We have had our Bichon "Cody" for 2 1/2 years. We will never have another type of dog. He is the most loving and cuddly dog! However, he does bark at strangers which can be a bit annoying. We wouldn't trade him for anything! My husband and our two kids think the world of him. If anything were to happen to that dog ...!!

I just purchased my first Bichon on October 1st of this year and I think he is wonderful! He is very loving and very friendly. When I get home at night from a long day at the office he greets me with so much love and attention as if he was calling me Mom. Cody is very beautiful and I plan to get him a companion whom I will name Cassidy maybe within the next couple of months.
