OUR TWO BICHONS ARE THE WORLDS BEST SECURITY SYSTEM "MIMI" & "FIFI", LET NO SOUND GO WITH OUT A FULL INVESTIGATION. THE COMBINED DIN OF THEIR PIERCINGLY LOUD BARK SERVES AS THE BEST DETERENT TO ANYONE EVEN THINKING OF BREAKING IN. I NEVER FEAR AN INTRUDER COULD SNEAK PAST THIS BRIGHT DUO. I have a wonderful bichon named Max. He is 2 years old and he protects me all the time. If my sister tries to fight with me he growls at her. He also growls when she sings a silly song at him. She sing " Chic chic a boom " and it make him mad. But he never really hurts her when she does this. I think Bichons are the best dog in the world and I really love Max. His full name is Maxamilion Reilly. His dad is The Almighty Zeus! I think that Bichons look best if you don't clip them too short. I found your page to be very interesting and I have printed a bunch of really intersting information. Bye.

OUR TWIN FEMALE BICHONS LOVE TO SWIM, IN FACT WE CAN NOT KEEP THEM OUT OF THE POOL. FIFI ALWAYS GOES IN FIRST WITH MIMI IN CLOSE PURSUIT. IF THEY SEE ME PUT ON A SWIM SUIT THEY GO NUTS WITH ANTICIPATION. FIFI WILL POSITION HERSELF WITH HER FRONT LEGS AGAINST THE INSIDE COPPING WITH HER REAR END STICKING UP KIND OF HALF IN THE POOL, AND HALF OUT OF THE POOL UNTIL SHE DIVES IN. MIMI THEN TAKES A BOUNDING LEAP AND FOLLOWS FIFI. GOD, WE LOVE THESE TWO BICHONS.IT'S WIERD, AS I WRITE ABOUT THEM I CAN'T SEEM TO REFER TO THEM AS DOGS. Our bichon, Cooper, takes showers now. We are noticing that his pink skin is turning dark and it makes him look less white. Is this common?Also, Cooper is 16 weeks old. When will he lose baby teeth and get his adult teeth?

My bicon Odie loves to get in fights with my cat. Odie will watch him until he does something wrong, like drink water from Odie's bowl. then he will take off after him until the cat has had enough then the cat will give Odie a nice spack on the face. Then Odie will walk away slowly with his tail between his legs.

Our Bichon, Bishi, is 15 yrs. old in June and has been the best companion for her owner, Amanda who received Bishi for her 7 birthday. They have grown up together. Bishi took care of Mandi when she was sick, lonely or just needed a buddy. Always, happy to see us come home, we love this sweet, adorable member of our family. Even people who visit who claim to not be 'dog' people are converts after meeting our 'sweetie'. To Bichon lovers all over the world, how lucky we are to know and love this adorable breed of dog.

My Bichon, Sugar, is picture perfect and so cute that I just want to hold her and love her all the time. But, she does NOT like to be held & cuddled. She follows me everywhere and explores everything I do. She is so excited when the doorbell rings as she is sure they've come to see her. Yet, she prefers to lay at my feet, not in my lap. HELP! I thought I was getting a lap dog. Any suggustions? Sugar is 13 mos. old.

About 4 years ago, we had a Bichon by the name of Blitzie and we were about to breed her when she darted out the front door into a car. She was in heat and just took off. So, we got another dog, Peppie, and just got her back from Nebraska where got pregnant for the first time. She is about one week into her gastation period and expect the puppies around late May. I guess that you can say the we have puppy fever even though it is the first time. I really don't think that I will be able to sell them away but at least we get to keep one. I can't think of a name at all and would like some E-Mail if you have any great names. Great Web Page!

- We have a 6 year old Bichon named Oliver. Have had other breeds before which I loved but no one compares to Oliver. He is pure white, weighs 13 pounds and of course, as most bichons thinks he's a person. Sleeps on a pillow above my husbands hed in our bed, flys with us everywhere, goes boating, driving, has done pet therapy and is the happiest little guy most people have ever seen. When we walk down the streets of New YOrk, Oliver must make eye contact with everyone he sees, and if they don't look back at him, he stops and turns to stare at them until they look back. At pet therapy sessions, he seems to know he has a job and becomes much more serious. He's also a little comedian and loves to make people laugh, races thru the house like a nut, and can actually jump up and nip our butts if we're not paying attention to him. He does loads of trick, including jumping through a hoop. He's is truly a joy. Obviously you can tell we adore him. If anyone out there wonders about the breed, my experience is that they are loyal, lovable, great with other dogs and children. Of course, the down side is they are a high maintenance dog, but if you start bathing them early regularly and using the blow dryer also, they will adapt very nicely, it's also a great bonding time - Oliver is so used to his routine, when he's being groomed he sometimes closes his eyes, as if to fall asleep. I enjoyed reading the letters in this secitono and would love to chat with anyone that has bichons. Would also love to know of any local shows that my bichon could participate in - he's neutered, so it would be a show just for fun. So please drop me a line, specificially in Manhanttan or New Jersey, or even Connecticut (close to Manhattan). We also go to Cape Cod in the summer - so that we be of interest as well. Sasha is very shy around dogs and some people. Did you have any problems introducing your new puppy? Was your first dog upset in any way? Sasha sleeps in a crate, and I thought that perhaps a new puppy would not be welcome..being her "space." Any problems with that? Any help you could give me would be really appreciated.
